Eyelash Extensions. Safe or Unsafe?

There's been a lot of contradiction as to whether or not additional lashes are safe or not. Really and truly I believe these are not a big problem. Especially the strip lashes, as they allow you to use them for the day/night, and you can just gently remove them at night. The benefits of individual lashes, is that they can last up to 6 weeks - obviously remembering to take care of them.

The Benefits:

  • No need for mascara everyday, as lashes provide you with a more fuller look
  • Can enhance your eyes dramatically and naturally
  • Individual lashes can last a long time if taken care of
The Do's:
  • Make sure the person doing your lashes is experience, and is 100% sure they know what they're doing
  • Do a patch test with the glue to see if you're allergic
  • Use extensions that are highly recommended, as some cheap lashes can prove hazardous to your eyes
  • 24 hours after doing lashes, do not touch them or wet them, as adhesive is still wet
  • Use oil-free products around your eyes to avoid the lashes coming off
The Dont's:
  • Make sure around the area is clean and oil-free (especially when doing individual)
  • Do not pull of individual lashes
  • Seek professional help if you have reacted to the glue
  • Make sure you know what you're doing if you apply it yourself!
That's it really! Otherwise, I love lashes, I think it's fierce and daring. However, some lashes look shabby and look like you have wings at the end of your eyes.
