Forget the Courtney Love kohl – this is the other nineties. Here, stripped back, super hi-def skin is defined with razor-sharp cheekbones and groomed, full eyebrows for an understated, urban look.
Designers paid collective homage to an angrodynous, stripped-back beauty look that was more polished and pure than grungy and messy. Alexander Wang, Burberry, Calvin Klein, Victoria Beckham, and even high-octane glamour stalwarts Balmain all left model’s faces and hair refreshingly undone. Contouring was key, with dewy caramel hues slicked over the eyelids and pearlescent creams placed high on the cheekbones. Hair was kept sleek, with a simple slick of wet-look gel keeping flyaways at bay. A personal favourite was the soft honeyed eyes at Victoria Beckham- teamed with boy brows to rival Miss Delevingne’s, this was one seriously powerful look.
